BARBECUE SATURDAY, MAY 21st

Please come this Saturday, May 21 for a St. George's Barbecue dinner from 4:00 – 7:00 pm. A pulled-pork dinner is planned with all the sides and desserts. You can also buy containers of the pulled-pork barbecue to take home. Pony rides for the kids will be from 4:00 – 6:00 pm. If you would like to help with the preparation, we need amateur chefs to come and shred the pork butts on Thursday evening. Please contact Kathy Heberle or Cathy Williams..

MARK YOUR CALENDAR FOR UPCOMING SUMMER EVENTS!

 In honor of National Ice Cream Day, the Connections team is hosting a church-wide Ice Cream Social Pot Luck Luncheon on Sunday, July 17th right after the church service.  We are asking the congregation to supply their families' most favorite meal (to share-main dish, side dish, salad) and the Connections Team will be setting-up the Ice Cream Bar for all to enjoy!

Then, in August, The Connections team is hosting a church-wide TACO Luck Luncheon on Sunday, August 14th right after church. We are asking the congregation to supply their families' most favorite taco-themed meal to share (main dish, side dish, salad, salsa and chips!) and the Connections Team will set up a mock margarita and sangria station. This event will also highlight the return of the Preschool students and teachers with Prayer Stick Sign-ups!

LAST YEAR'S
POTLUCK LUNCH, SUNDAY, MAY 16th

St. George's UMC was in a pilot program for churches in the Alexandria District that allowed for eating together in fellowship outside at church. Our first lunch last year was more of a picnic since it was held outside. The tables were set up so everyone could have shade. This was a wonderful chance to have some fellowship together right after church. Many thanks to John Nash for these photographs!!
